2023 eLEVEN PAINTERS EXHIBITION
2023 Eleven Painters Exhibition at Dundas Street Gallery
LEITH SCHOOL OF ART SUMMERSCHOOL
The Summer School “Not Just Still Life” at Leith School of Art inspired me to use different Media and techniques. The discovery of Oil Pastels was a revolution, and they lend themselves to my creative process. Something that you will see a lot of in my future work.
eLEVEN PAINTER EXHIBITION
The Eleven Painter Exhibition at Dundas Street Galleries Edinburgh was a collaboration of eleven class members attending the one-day painting course at Leith School of Art (2022). I organised the event and was very grateful to Argyle Consultancy for their sponsorship.
LSA 2022 summer exhibition
The Leith School of Art Summer Exhibition is an end of year event to showcase students work. The event created a great buzz, and I was glad to have two of my pieces on display. I was involved in the hanging of the class work under the guidance of our tutor Val McLean. This was a great learning experience.
LONGLISTED FOR Visual ART EMERGING Artist Awards
In July my entry was long listed to go through to the next stage of judging in the Visual Art Open 2022 Emerging Artist Awards. Although I was not selected to the next stage it was great for my work to be acknowledged by the judging panel.
scotland home of the year
In May our home was part of the Scottish Home of the Year competition which was televised on BBC Scotland. This was a fun experience, and it was great to hear the judge’s feedback on my own Art Collection. You also got a peak of some of my own work thoughtout the show.
First commission
March was a milestone in my Artwork when I received my first commission. This was for one of my Harbour abstract works. This was a strange experience knowing that someone was going to part with good money for one of your works and you wanted to do your best and not let them down. One dilemma for me to make sure I did not over work the piece.
LSA 2021 SUMMER EXHIBITION
This was my first exhibition as well as my very first piece of art that I ever sold.
It was a good felling to come into the exhibition and see a red dot next to your work.
